Our Staff

Administration

The Day Camp was founded in 1945 by its original owners and directors Mr. and Mrs. Richard N. Hood.  As the facilities and programs have grown, the Twin Spring Farm family has also expanded to include two of Mr. and Mrs. Hood’s five children as full-time administrators.  Richard Hood, Jr. and his wife, Lucia D’Andrea Hood, along with Karen Hood Salvatori have continued the tradition of exceptional leadership and commitment to providing first class camp experiences for children.  Three additional key personnel make up the administrative team.  Uncles “Skits“ Soroko, Dave Seitz and Jon Tauber.  They collectively have more then 50 years of experience as camp administrators.  This team of six administrators continue the vision started by Mr. and Mrs. Hood and oversee Twin Spring Farm Day Camp’s growth as a state-of-the-art facility for the twenty-first century.

Counselors

Twin Spring Farm Day Camp is noted for its experienced staff. Annually, the majority of counselors are returning staff members from previous years.  Many are teachers during the school year.

In addition to our mature, returning staff members, Twin Spring Farm is also proud to see so many of our grown campers return to become counselors themselves!

Counselors In Leadership Training (CILT)

School students entering 10th - 12th grade, may apply to participate in Twin Spring Farm’s CILT program.  CILTs are paired with mature staff members to spend a summer of learning about and assisting with the supervision of campers.  Some of our CILTs have selected education as a college major after their positive experiences working with children.
